Continue Setup of Add-ons and Servers You Already Paid For
Updated October 27, 2026 · 5 min read
If you bought a server or an add-on in the xCloud cart but never finished setting it up, you don’t need to buy it again. xCloud lists every unused purchase in a Continue Setup panel, and its Setup button takes you to the right page with your purchase already selected. Finishing setup there uses the item you paid for instead of charging your card again.
This guide shows where the panel appears, what each Setup button opens, and what to do when an item is missing.
What appears in Continue Setup
Every purchase your team has not used yet appears in the panel, grouped in two lists:
| List | What it holds | Each row shows |
|---|---|---|
| Continue Server Setup | Server plans bought in the cart but not used to create a server | The plan name, Pending Setup, and its RAM, SSD, vCPU and bandwidth |
| Continue Addon Setup | Add-ons bought but not set up: MailBox, Mail Delivery, Site Security Pro and Cloudflare Enterprise | The add-on name and the plan you bought |
A number next to each list title shows how many items are waiting. An item leaves the list as soon as you set it up, because setup uses it up. If you have no unused purchases, the panel does not appear at all.
Where to find the panel
The same panel appears in four places:
- Dashboard: both lists, below the overview cards and any warning banners.
- Addons (left menu): the Continue Addon Setup list only, at the top of the add-ons page.
- Team Products (account settings, under Subscriptions): both lists, for the whole team.
- Bring and Manage Your Own Server (the server creation page for your own provider): both lists, above the provider choices.
Step 1: Open the Continue Setup panel
Open the Dashboard and find Continue Server Setup or Continue Addon Setup. Click the list title to expand or collapse it.
Expected result: You see one row per unused purchase, each with a Setup button on the right.
Step 2: Click Setup on the item
Click Setup on the row you want to finish (clicking the item name does the same). xCloud opens the setup page for that item:
| Item | Where Setup takes you |
|---|---|
| Server plan | The server creation wizard, with your purchased plan |
| Site Security Pro | Site Security Pro Addons, with the activation dialog open |
| MailBox | The MailBox add-on page, with the plan you bought selected |
| Mail Delivery | The email provider settings, with the xCloud managed provider and your plan selected |
| Cloudflare Enterprise | The Cloudflare Enterprise page, ready to pick a domain |
Expected result: The page recognises your purchase. For MailBox, Site Security Pro and Cloudflare Enterprise, it says you already purchased the item. For Mail Delivery, the plan you bought is locked. For every add-on, the main button reads Complete Setup instead of a price.
Step 3: Finish setup with your purchase
What you choose depends on the item:
- Site Security Pro: pick one site in Search sites here… and click Complete Setup. The dialog notes that your purchased credit applies to a single site. If your team has no sites yet, the dialog says so and links to Go to Sites. Create a site first, then come back; you will not be charged again. See Set up Site Security PRO for what happens after activation.
- MailBox: the plan you bought is pre-selected and locked, so you can’t switch to another plan in this setup. Fill in the mailbox details and click Complete Setup. See Set up the xCloud MailBox add-on.
- Mail Delivery: the plan is locked to the one you bought. Finish the provider form and click Complete Setup. See Set up the Mail Delivery add-on.
- Cloudflare Enterprise: choose one domain and click Complete Setup; the page shows Already paid and notes that your purchased credit applies to a single domain. See Activate the Cloudflare Enterprise add-on.
- Server plan: complete the server wizard as usual. The plan you bought is used for the new server.
Expected result: The add-on or server is created, and the item no longer appears in Continue Setup.
If an item is missing or Setup does not work
| What you see | Why | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| You open an old Setup link or bookmark for a server, and the cart shows the error This product has a pending account credit request. Cancel the request to set it up. | You asked for Account Credit for this unused server purchase, so it is reserved for that request. While the request is pending, the item is hidden from Continue Setup, so this message only appears on the cart page. | Cancel the credit request if you’d rather set the server up, or wait for the review. See Claim Account Credit for an unused server purchase. |
| The item is not in the panel | It is already set up, an Account Credit request reserves it, or you are viewing a different team. | Switch to the team that made the purchase, then check Team Products. |
| Setup opens the cart / product picker instead of the add-on page | The purchase belongs to another team, or it was already used. | Switch to the team that bought it and start from the Setup button in Continue Setup. |
If you open an add-on page directly (from Addons or a bookmark) instead of through Setup, it shows the normal purchase flow with a price. Use the Setup button so the page picks up the item you already paid for.
Unused add-ons and refunds
Continue Setup is the way to get value from an add-on you already bought. The unused-purchase Account Credit claim covers server products only, and add-ons are not eligible through it. For the full rules, read the xCloud refund policy.
Frequently asked questions
Will I be charged again when I click Setup?
No. For MailBox, Site Security Pro and Cloudflare Enterprise, the setup page says you already purchased it; for Mail Delivery, the plan you bought is locked. In every case the button reads Complete Setup instead of a price. Finishing setup uses the item you already paid for.
Why did an item disappear from Continue Setup?
An item leaves the list once it is set up, because that uses it up. It is also hidden while an Account Credit request for it is pending.
Can I get my money back for an add-on I never set up?
The unused-purchase Account Credit claim covers server products only. Add-ons are not eligible through that flow; see the refund policy for details.
Can I apply one Site Security Pro or Cloudflare Enterprise purchase to several sites?
No. Each purchased credit applies to a single site or domain. Buy another one for each extra site.
